Maintaining Systems and Compliance

The client seeks to maintain a secure and efficient information system that meets NIST SP 800-171 requirements.

We configured their Microsoft 365 tenant and enrolled their Windows endpoints with Azure AD. Many of the workstations were previously configured, using personal Microsoft accounts. To avoid loss of user data, we migrated user data to their new profiles. Using Microsoft Endpoint Manager as our MDM solution, we deployed a wide range of security controls to the customers Windows 10 & 11 endpoints including the Windows Security Baseline. All of the work was documented in the SharePoint issue tracker we setup.

After implementing the above mentioned changes the customer requested that we also provide them with service desk support to maintain the environment we configured. The service desk provides support from 9:00 AM EST to 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday. Tasks we perform include user account management, inventory management, software installations, maintaining policy and procedure documentation, as well as maintaining the overall security of the system to maintain customer compliance with DFARS related NIST SP 800-171 requirements.
